Ride Your Bike To Work!
Next Week, May 14th - 18th, is Ride Your Bike to Work Week . Now for some of us this is not a big deal since you do it all of the time, and maybe it's impossible for others of us, but if it within your means, you may consider trying to get out and ride.
If you do it all of the time, maybe you can help a newbie, if you are someone with a long commute (and can't ride), maybe you can just remember to share the road with morning commuters, or better yet be an advocate in your work place. I mean if you hears someone complaining about 'those bikers' by the water cooler, just slip in a few pro-cycling jabs for the rest of us.
Lets just hope it's a nice week!

Come along for the Ride
You should come along to The Alpena Seersucker Ride
We like all kinds of people.
It will be the cat's pajamas!
Feel free to bring along the little ones!
Its not like you have to ride like a rabbit, just have a good time!

Alfred Hitchcock Presents
To quote the fabulous Alfred Hitchcock, "If you do nothing else this summer, go to the Alpena Seersucker Ride"
Well... maybe thats not really a quote, but we are sure he would have said that if he had only known how much fun it was going to be!

Spring Check Up
Just like many of us go to our doctors for an annual physicals, even if we don't feel sick, it is also a great idea to run your bike through a check up at the beginning of the riding season.
Many people take their bicycle to their local bike shop, or ask a more experienced rider to take a look at their bike. This may be the best solution for a beginner, but if you have been riding for awhile, it may be a good idea to try to learn a few of these skills for yourself.
There are many ways to pick up these skills (books, YouTube, websites, and friends) it can help you become a more comfortable rider if you don't have to worry about being stranded if you have a problem with your tires, chain or brakes. While you may still want to have a professional look it over every now and the, we challenge you to learn at least one repair this May!
